MACRO INDUSTRIES
MACRO Industries pioneers innovative composite materials for superior protection of goods and people across various transportation modes.
My team at DMH created an identity for MACRO that reflects their innovative approach while staying true to their roots by referencing historical industrial and manufacturing marks in a custom wordmark. I bolstered the bold stoicism of the lettering with a muted use of color, using a range of dark, neutral colors throughout with bright red-orange accents to add emphasis and visual interest. The industrial forms of Pangram Pangram’s Supply Mono combine with workhorse typeface, Neue Haas Grotesk to further emphasize the identity’s systematic feel and reference to nostalgic factory-made goods. I further expressed the identity through 3D animations which abstract the carbon fiber materials produced by MACRO and add texture and visual interest across the brand.
